The girls are still wearing their snowpants even though it was fairly warm because everything was very soggy. They were soaked though by the time they came in.

"Making" Summer
Last weekend it was the beginning of warm weather around here. Yeah! The snow melted, everyone could be outside. It was probably 45-50 degrees. Andrew was out with the girls and when I asked what they were up to, he said, "Ella says we're "making" summer." Her idea was that we had to clean up all the snow and ice in the yard to make way for summer. She also thought if we got rid of all the snow in the yard, then we could get out the pool. LOL! We had to explain to her that the pool was a summer thing and even though it was warmer outside, we had to have spring before summer. So we have to wait for it to get quite a bit warmer first. She was still excited that she could be outside and continued on with her "work" of making summer.

She is a girl after my own heart. Because of the amount of shade our yard has we always seem to be the last house with snow on the ground. It drives me so crazy that I will actually shovel the snow from the shady areas to the sunny spots!
