As many of you know, I take photos. A LOT of photos! It all started when Ella was born and has pretty much become an obsession (addiction--you choose the word) since then. Without sounding too conceded or full of myself, I think maybe some of my photos are pretty good (or at least that's what people tell me). And now I have a few people interested in having me photograph their families. Some are family members, others are people they have referred to me and people are willing to PAY me for these photos!
Although I, in no way, consider myself an expert or a professional photographer, it is something I really enjoy doing and feel it is somewhat of a creative outlet for me. It's nice to have something to focus on outside of our family and the house. AND I've been pondering my next "career" move the last year or so. With the girls going to school and my schedule opening up in another year or so, I've been wondering what I will do with my time. I want to be home when they are home from school and be available to take them to their activities, so I was looking for something part-time. I thought, why not formalize this photography thing a bit and see where it goes. If interest from other people fizzles out, no big deal, I'm not really out much money so there's nothing to lose.
It seems I am not much of an original thinker in this business idea. Cindy came across an interesting article that she shared with me. The article is from the New York Times about a year ago. It was interesting to read and I had no idea that so many other people were doing this!
Without further ado, I'd like to introduce you to Lily Bella Photography!

What an amazing endeavor and I wish you all the luck! Having a photography business has changed my sister's life and given her so much joy. I hope you find the same sense of joy and pride from this business as she has; and make a little extra money while you are at it!!
Good luck!
P.S. your prices are WAY TOO LOW!!
I agree, your prices seem too low!
Great photos, and best wishes on your endeavor.
