Family Movie Night

I think I've mentioned before that we've started doing a family movie night on Sunday nights. I wanted to keep track of the movies we watch so I thought I would just do it here. Most of the movies we've watched so far have been hits with us (with the exception of Underdog--just didn't hold the kids' attention--and Jingle All the Way--we discovered this really isn't a film for the under-8 crowd). I've realized that Netflix has an age listing on most movies. I've found that the ones listed for 6+ (or rated G obviously) are usually okay for Ella and Lily. It's really nice to have that as a guideline to go by when picking movies.

I may have suggested this to you already, but we recently watched the Astronaut Farmer with the kids and it was a hit for everyone.

Bee Movie is a hit around here. It grows on you. "Black and Yellow - A Bee Gets Behind a Fellow!" See we watch it all the time.

Riley recommends "Annie, A Royal Adventure"--the Annie sequel. He likes to call it "Annie with a House."

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! And keep them coming if anything jumps out at you! We actually saw Bee Movie when it was in the theater and we all enjoyed it. Just got the DVD, saving it for a long car trip along with Enchanted and Barbie Mariposa.

And Kirsten, thanks for the recommendation for Annie, Royal Adventure. I actually had that one in our queue and it will be our next Sunday night feature! :-)
