Kellan--6 months

Update emailed on July 22nd:
We had Kellan's 6-month checkup yesterday afternoon. The doctor was pleased with his progress and impressed he was already getting up on all fours ready to crawl. He weighed 18 lbs, 1oz (50th %). Measured 27 1/2 inches (90th %). His head is now in the 50th %. So even though he's solid, he's still very average and tall. She told me boys will tend to be heavier than girls.

The girls were:
Lily:17lbs, 12 oz. and 29 1/2 inches long!
Ella was 17lbs, 6oz, and 27 3/4 inches

So Kellan is our shortest and heaviest at 6 months. No wonder he seems like such a chunk to me! ;-)

Nothing else too significant. He can start eating shredded cheese and yogurt now. The doctor also said we could give him pureed meat (sound so gross to me) or little tiny shredded bits. And also those puffs that dissolve in their mouth. Makes me a little nervous without teeth. She felt in his mouth and said the teeth could be coming soon (hopefully) because his gums are uneven. But nothing's cutting through yet.

He got the oral rotovirus vaccine again as well as two others, and he actually started crying before she even poked him (when I was holding his arms). So I think he's starting to pick up on the sequence of events for the shots. We don't go back again for three months. His 9-month check up will be Oct. 25th.

And photos:

Just another quick note. We traveled to Ohio in July and that was Kellan's first airplane trip. He was a great little traveler!
